Eclipse / Day of Darkness

Eclipse / Day of Darkness
eclipseAs many of you know, Evansville will be in the path of a 99% solar eclipse on Monday, August 21. This is truly a unique experience for our students. The last solar eclipse visible in the U.S. from coast to coast occurred in 1918. Because the eclipse will happen around 1:24PM, some teachers may choose to take their 7th period students outside to view it. The school will be providing ISO Approved glasses for all students, teachers and staff on Monday. Please make sure your children understand that in order to view the eclipse, they wear the glasses any time they are looking at the sun.
