Tips for Successful Students

• Eat a healthy diet.
• Get a good night’s sleep. Go to bed by 10:00 PM.
• Arrive at school on time - 7:20 a.m. first bell, be in your classroom by 7:30 a.m.
• Attend school EVERY day. Bosse is on a block schedule, so missing one day is like missing two classes.
• Use your Enrichment time wisely.
• Choose the right friends; fun, but focused on their studies, also.
• Participate in a school academic club, athletic team or other school clubs.
• Listen to the morning announcements each day – Bosse Sunrise!
• Dress for Success! Be in dress code daily.
• Keep a resume of your activities and community service hours for college and scholarship applications.
• Write down homework in your Bosse planner. Planners are available at our bookstore.
• Stay organized. Use folders, notebooks and/or binders!
• Turn in all homework and participate in class. Do not get behind!
• Get your EdEase login and monitor your grades and attendance at least every few days. See Mrs. Ehrensbeck in Room 124 for questions and to reset password. Mrs. Davids, Dean’s secretary, can assist parents with their part of EdEase at 812-474-6937.
• If you struggle in class, talk with your teacher and parents.
