Principal's Message

August 23, 2017

Summer absolutely flew by! We are back at it and trying to get settled in. I think that the majority of our kiddos were ready to come back to school and probably the majority of parents were ready for them to return. We are off to a good start to the school year. We have just a little “fine tuning” that needs to take place.

Much of the summer was spent getting the Track restructured and resurfaced! We are almost at completion with this project! It has been a challenging undertaking but is finally coming to fruition! I think that you will be pleased with the facility once everything is completed! I encourage you to stop by and take a look at it! We had the opportunity to play our first home game on it! It was a hollowing success because we also WON our season opener! That’s always a good way to start a school year!

I am back entering my 42 nd year in education. I feel extremely blessed to be able to return and be involved with a school that I dearly love. The majority of our students are kind, courteous and respectful! For those that aren’t just yet, that requires some of the “fine tuning” that we need to do. Our young people are very talented in numerous ways. We have many that excel not only in the classroom but on the athletic and academic fields. Our “Imagery” continues to receive national recognition for its compilation of stories, poetry and art work. We had several students involved in the summer musical of “Thoroughly Modern Millie” and we came off another thrilling season of Boys’ Basketball.

In this short period of time, I see that the majority of our students are recognizing the value of a good, solid education! They continue to learn how to prioritize and manage their time so that it affords them opportunities to be successful in the classroom as well as in any other environment. We continue to stress upon them the importance of “getting it done in the classroom”.

Bosse High School has a very rich tradition of caring, respect, discipline, academic and athletic success along with a sense of pride in always trying to “do the right things”. Each year we strive to uphold and continue those traditions. We want to get better each and every year! We are getting there!

Our school mantra is: Presence, Purpose, Perseverance, and Production! We want all of our students to recognize that excellence calls for character, integrity, fairness, honesty and a determination to do what’s right. We want high ethical standards across the board. I encourage you to stop by and visit us and while you are here, pull up a chair, roll up your sleeves and provide us with the needed support that so many of our students need in a plethora of areas! You are always welcome.

Thank you for another opportunity to serve! I believe that each and every day is another “opportunity for us to get it right”!

Stay Blessed!
Ms. Huff
